The Proraso alum stone is the barber's traditional remedy for finishing a shave. It is a 100 g block made of 100% potassium alum.
On wet skin it has an immediate astringent effect: it tones and helps with the small nicks left by the blade. It is a barbershop accessory designed to close the service. Being made only of potassium alum, it contains no other ingredients.
